A spot of spring cleaning on a sunny English riverbank begins the adventures of four beloved friends. Mole thought his happiness was complete, and then came his first introduction to the river and the "Life Adventurous".

Emerging from his home at Mole End one spring, his whole world changes when he teams up with the good-natured boat-loving Water Rat, the boastful Toad of Toad Hall, the society-hating Badger who lives in the frightening Wild Wood and countless other (mostly) well-meaning creatures.

Follow the misadventures of Mole, Ratty, Toad, Badger and the other eccentric woodland creatures as they get up to all sorts of humorous high jinks.

Follow them on their journey through riverside picnics, wild woods, jailbreaks and car chases to save Toad Hall from disaster and get little Mole home.

Will the foursome triumph? And will everybody learn their lessons? A delightful tale of camaraderie and joy.
