Nantwich Players . . . . . . have a
membership of around 100 adults and juniors who are always happy to
welcome new members. Not too big so that you don't get a chance to
take part - not too small so that tasks fall on the same people!
. . . stage five full-length plays each year -
running from Saturday to Saturday (but not on Sunday) - plus a Youth
Theatre production. Rehearsals are mainly on Mondays and Thursdays for the
"senior" productions, while the Youth Theatre rehearse during their
meetings.
. . . have a full programme of events for members
only, on Tuesday evenings at 7.45pm. (See the
Calendar page for current details).
. . . have an active
Youth Theatre
with their own
programme of events, including theatre workshops and the opportunity to
take part in the "senior" productions. A great introduction to the world
of amateur theatre - or beyond?
. . . offer opportunities for members to take
part on stage, behind the scenes or front of house. Members can use their
skills to direct a play; act in one; stage manage a production; operate
the lighting and sound systems; design, build, paint or dress the sets;
find and look after the costumes and properties for a production; prompt
the cast; publicise productions; or meet the public in front-of-house
roles - including the bar and coffee bar. In fact, anything and everything
that goes into making productions. And if you don't know how to do these
things but would like to, join us and learn.
. . . enter play festivals and have a number of
awards to our credit - nine from the last season alone!
. . . have a group of supporters called Friends
of the Theatre. For more on this visit the
Friends page.
Full membership costs £20 (seniors) a year or £10 (juniors) if you are
at school or college.
You don't have to have an urge
to tread the boards to be a member. There are many others things you can
enjoy (as listed above). Or you can just go along to the theatre and watch
others perform in play readings, and enjoy talks, etc.
lTRY US OUT

to: The Membership Secretary, The Players' Theatre, Pillory Street, Nantwich, Cheshire CW5 5BG. Or just
pop your letter through the stage door - opposite Nantwich Museum, behind the

could request a form by sending us an e-mail. Contact
